Welcome to the Whitsundays, my name is Melanie and I will be your host. Our family home is tucked away in the backdrop of national parks. With the Whitsundays on our door step you are a short day trip to the Islands, Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach. The Whitsundays offers a great diversity of attractions, activities and experiences with the stunning backdrop of the Great Barrier Reef and 74 island wonders. You will find plenty to do when on holidays here from Bush walks to snorkel trips.

The Getaway Box

Your accommodation is a newly converted ex shipping container, fully self contained , with a large covered all weather deck area attached. The Getaway Box sits serenely and privately in sub tropical rainforest gardens approx. 6kms from central Byron Bay. You are only a 5 minute drive from beaches, restaurants and shopping. Enjoy the best of both worlds - immersed in natural surrounds away from the hustle and bustle, it's hard to believe you are only minutes from the fun and attractions of Byron.

Right on the door step of the Margaret River Region so you can enjoy many of the award winning wines. With luxurious bath robes and a coffee machine to use. Enjoy the sea and mountain views from the large deck and surrounding coffee plantation. The Roasting Shed is located in the Tweed Valley, a locals-only spot surrounded by wildlife and fresh mountain air. A perfect break for those looking to escape the city, attend a wedding celebration or enjoy the local distilleries, restaurants & beaches.
