Relax in this lovely bedroom with inviting, comfy windowseat and views of the gardens. Enjoy the 1940's coastal cottage charm, with many modern updates, including a fully renovated bath with Carrara Marble tile and mosaic floors. 5 minutes from Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park, Half Moon is central to everything on Mount Desert Island. The LR and sun room are spectacular for breakfast or late afternoon drinks. Enjoy several sitting areas inside and out. You will absolutely love this setting.

3 Black Friar Inn and Pub Quiet Room

Back lit stained glass from a local church, big bay window, & built-in queen bed mantel make this room a cozy sanctuary. The headboard is a fireplace mantel which came out a Rockefeller home during a remodel. Ensuite bathroom with shower. We are a B&B so breakfast is included with your stay. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor & downtown Bar Harbor. One dedicated parking spot, Fridge TV & WIFI. Located on the second floor.

We offer a 1st floor guest room & private bath inside our home near the Salisbury Cove area of Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor Lobster Pound, Mainely Meat BBQ, Utter Heaven Ice Cream & also Mini Golf is within walking distance. The Acadia NP Visitor Center, the start of the Park Loop Rd and downtown Bar Harbor are within 2 to 5 miles. Drive into Acadia or to the shops, restaurants & excursions of Bar Harbor or from late June to mid Oct, catch the free Island Explorer shuttle from the end of our road.

Winter Harbor has restaurants and galleries, a ferry to Bar Harbor and the free Island Explorer bus to the Acadia National park and downtown Winter Harbor. You’ll love our home because it is very comfortable with beautiful gardens and many quiet sitting areas for early morning coffee or your late afternoon wine. Our place is very accommodating for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and for bird watchers.
