An amazing collection of engineering miniatures. It's free to visit.

We've spent years squinting at miniature things -- model railroads, little towns, flea circuses, scaled-down battle scenes. But it comes as a belated revelation that there exists an active community of engineers who build miniature versions of real world machines. The tiny engines actually run, like their full-size counterparts.

The Craftmanship Museum is a totally unique and fascinating place to visit if the visitor has any interest in the design and engineering of mechanical systems! A visit here would be perfect for any families whose children may be interested in engineering, for academics or to gain insight into "hands on" achievements.

The Joe Martin Foundation Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum features items on the small end of the size scale. From a 1/16 scale aluminum P-51 to a #1 scale live steam engine.
