Wednesday and Saturday. Save the date! And be prepared for an early morning. Get your elbows ready, too, in case the crowd gets a little rowdy and you need to “Gordie Howe” your way to the front of the line. What’s the occasion, you ask? Well, Wednesday and Saturday are cinnamon bun days at The Green Spot. Yes, these delicious creations are available two days a week, and they almost always sell out early. You can also order in advance if you want to guarantee a batch to take home. If you’ve never had a Green Spot cinnamon bun, I’m not sure what planet you live on, or what you’ve been waiting for. Go soon — just be sure to stay out of my way because I’ll probably be wearing my elbow pads.

The owners started this cafe in honour of their daughter, who has a gluten allergy. They make wonderful Asian-vegetarian lunch dishes, but also do their own take on dishes like quiche and panini.
