Dark, luxurious dive/make-out bar. I suppose just about everyone in Houston knows this 50 year old institution, but it feels special because there's NO signage. The blue door is under a staircase on the backside of a strip of shops. Just open the blue door and walk in. It's named for the original owners; Martha, Fred and Leslie.

An actual historic speakeasy. You have to know it is there - no signage. Just walk in the blue door and be transported back in time.

A staple of Houston nightlife since 1972, look for the iconic blue door at 2006 Peden. Looking for a chic, intimate setting to have a few drinks, Marfaless is the place to be.

Your local speak-easy style bar at the end of the street from Dunlavy House! Walk to the end of the street, find the parking lot. You'll see a blue door on what looks like the back side of a strip mall. Go through the blue door and your bar awaits. Drinks are fine and average priced, but the moody dark ambiance is what you're going for. $$.
