Heritage Ranch is awesome. The trails take you down to the river. Fire pits and picnic tables are all over! There is a playground, trail rides, a restaurant and history.

Heritage Ranch is a great little gem in Red Deer.Has a great restaurant called West Lake Grill, offers amazing food and wine.Have great dining packages for special occasions. Also a great place to take a wagon or hayride. Also have great walking trails.

A great area to go for a walk. If you want to go for a long walk, you can walk from Heritage Ranch to Bower Ponds by using the same trail. Heritage ranch offers trail riders, pony rides, sleigh rides, a small restaurant (very expensive), public washrooms and a pond where some people go canoeing and fishing. There also used to be a park there and I'm not 100% sure if it is still there. Great for walking, rollerblading and biking. Please be aware that there has been wildlife seen on the trail before. Use with cation if you are alone or with young children. It's generally a safe place, but there has been moose and coyotes.

Great Place to go for a walk/run/stroll on the excellent paved pathways. Go for a walk in our grand park system that meanders past the fish pond /picnic area down to the Red Deer River. There is a wooden pedestrian bridge that links the Heritage Ranch, on the south side of the Red Deer River, to the Great Chief Park / Bower Ponds walking path system on the North side of the Red Deer River. This is my absolute favorite place in the fall when the leaves are turning colour. It is absolutely post card perfect!
