Pearl Beach is on the edge of the national park and is much quieter than Peninsula beaches. Pearl Beach is more open to the Ocean so for swimming we recommend that you stay to the south end of the beach by the rock swimming pool. Pearl Beach is also the entrance for the walk to Middle Head which offers spectacular views of Broken Bay. The walk to Middle Head is about 30 minutes each way and you take the fire trail next to the arboretum to get to Middle Head.

Pearl Beach is a quiet beach-side suburb with a beautiful beach with VERY calm waters, so great for swimming at, for all ages. There is a lovely cafe and general store across from the beach and a lovely restaurant which overlooks the ocean.

This is a stunning little beach and well worth the 15 minute drive.

For a good long walk, head south down Umina Beach. Walk around the rocks at Umina Point after which you'll reach Pearl Beach
