Tips van locals
This is one of my favorite places to go. They are a great restaurant and bar they make some of the best old fashions and gimlets in the city and all their draft beer if from local breweries so if you have a love of craft beer I would highly recommend coming in!! They're open from 7 am until either 1…
Lion is the booze bar, bright is the barista bar, and breakfast to late night it’s all a loft-like space where the hip and non-hip sip coffee, wine or craft beer, and devour everything from French toast to haddock tacos.
Cafe by day and bar by night, this place is about a 10-15 minute walk away and is a great spot for a drink. They sometimes have live music on weekends.
Great drinks, great food. A very cool place on a road that is increasingly hip.
Crafted brews and great fish tacos. Also has great morning coffee, wifi and community tables for work space.

“Our favourite brunch place in the city! The space is tight but the food is excellent - try the McCoastal breakfast sandwich. Right out the front door, walk 2 blocks then left on Robie St, walk 2 blocks and you'll see the restaurant on your right.”

“G"us’ cowboy-granddaddy mascot and his hilarious one-liners have earned a loyal fan base among the city’s music lovers, and with good reason. Pitchers of beer pour freely and cheaply as indie bands from across the country entertain on the cozy corner stage to an eclectic north end audience."”
