I used to work at this jerky and cocktail bar. Not only do they welcome dogs, they have special dog treats behind the bar. Dogs can sit anywhere—on the chairs, on your lap, on the floor. My favorite human-grade jerky is the red eye, which has an espresso rub. The seasonal cocktails are delicious and use local ingredients, like wild fennel that grows in the neighborhood. Down the road, Heron’s Head Park is a little-known spit that peeks out into the Bay and is particularly stunning at sunset. It’s surrounded by wet marshes, and the dogs can indulge all their senses with the salt air, the water, and the wildlife.
