Located on the other side of Magazine Street (facing Audubon Park) is the Audubon Zoo, which offers an exotic mix of animals from around the globe, engaging educational programs, hands-on animal encounters and lush gardens. The zoo covers 58 acres and is home to over 2,000 animals. It is located in a section of Audubon Park in Uptown New Orleans, on the Mississippi River side of Magazine Street. Our zoo is one the country's top-listed furry and reptilian friends hang out. It'll take up an entire day if you let it.
