The only place you can buy beer, wine & spirits over 4.7% abv is the state owned wine monopoly. They have strict opening times and close early at weekends and before public holidays. You have to be over 21 years of age to buy alcohol drinks 23% abv or over. Make sure you bring along proof of age as they check everyone who looks under 35 years of age.
