This nearby river is great for swimming or a stroll along the banks. Better known by locals as Thousand Acres, this park is the off-leash mecca of Portland. With 1,400 acres of open field, wetlands, blackberry bushes, countless trails , and two rivers where your dog can play fetch, splash around, and run free, this is a dog's paradise.

Great spot to let your well-behaved dogs run off leash. Thousands of hiking trails leading to and from the Sandy River. You'll run into dozens of different dogs enjoying running around leash free!

Huge ammount of acres , kind of uniquely wild. Flatt space, so nothing to clime. It is a trail loop by Sandy river.
