They have a bike loaner program. The trail is much nicer at the Weldon end.

Take a breather on the Canal Trail and hike as long as you like or trek the whole 9 miles through the history of the Roanoke River and Canal system. Start your visit at the museum and get a great history lesson on early innovation.
