I love this trail. Beautiful views, moderately challenging and bear sightings!! Get an adventure pass from Big Bear Sporting foods for $5 so you can park in the lot.

Pine Knot Trail in Big Bear will eventually bring you to the awe-inspiring Grand Viewpoint. You’ll begin your trek at the Aspen Glen Picnic Area. See incredible views filled with wildflowers, towering trees, and the lake on your way to the viewpoint. This 6.1-mile trail is considered moderately difficult, but many families find it very enjoyable!

great views and a well-marked, dog-friendly path. We usually hike for 5 miles, but I think you can go much farther.

This beautiful hike features amazing scenery, views and challenging climbs. This is also a great trail for bike riders that start at the top of snow summit.
