Boat launch in this park onto Laurie Park. Lifeguards in summer. Family friendly. Wide open space but also has great hiking in the woods. BBQ pits and picnic tables are on site as well as change rooms and outhouses. Water is warm and a small sandy beach is here too.

Oakfield Provincial Park is a popular picnic park on the Shubenacadie Grand Lake in the Halifax Metro region. Grand Lake is a big water reservoir that can be shown by NS visitors whose driving from Airport or NB/PEI destinations on Highway 102, Exit 5, north 13 km / 8 mi on Route 2. The park features a small beach, a picnic area with tables along the edges of fields (perfect for group picnics)
