Only 32 min. away, this museum was built into a cliff side of the Missouri River. The interpretive center tells the story of Lewis and Clark’s expedition from beginning to end. Lewis and Clark spent more time in Great Falls than anywhere else on the trail that wasn’t the winter quarters.
Right on the Missouri River this is a fun, educational trip where you’ll see life sized displays of adventures, buffaloes, and canoes. You can also hike the Sulfur Springs Trail that starts at the center.
Great museum for the local history on the days when Lewis and Clark came through this area.
Great historic value and a fairly good spot to take your kids to learn about the travels of Lewis and Clark. They also offer special exhibits and shows on a regular basis.
