A nice Aussie bush picnic location, near the creek. No too far out of Mount Beauty and easy access, plus toilets.

Mountain Creek Picnic and Camping area is 10.5km from the Kiewa Valley Highway and 15mins from Mount Beauty, in the Alpine National Park. Nestled at the base of Mt Bogong (1986m) there are several ways ranging in length, through cool moist fern filled gullies and drier peppermint forests. This is also the starting point for the most popular routes up Mt Bogong, The Staircase and the Eskdale Spur routes.
