The photos don't do it justice. This several day event starts with world class dinners, cooking classes, and wool crafts that sell out quickly. The sherp dog trials go on during the week as well and although there is a $5 parking fee that supports the festival, it's worth a visit to see these spectacular hardworking dogs in action. The weekend culminates with a don't miss folk festival and the parade. The parade is short and sweet but a lovely example of small town pride. Make sure you stay til the end as the stars of the show are herded through Ketchum's Main Street, 1500+ sheep make there way south out of the Mountains to eventually end up in sunny California for the winter. No dogs allowed on the parade route.
