If you want to have a classic afternoon tea experience in York, go here! Please do not queue for Betty's tea room - why waste time in a queue when you're on holiday?! The food and service is amazing - beautiful surrounding and equally beautiful cakes and savoury treats. Can't recommend it enough.

The 'Terrace' restaurant adjacent to York Station does one of the best Sunday Roasts in York, handy for a last big feed pre-train home :)
