Bike rentals with shuttle services. Plan for a 3-4hrs biking trail from Whitetop VA to Damascus VA. Once in Damascus there are a few places to eat before taking the shuttle back to Whitetop.

Drive to Damascus, VA and rent a bike. They'll drive you to the top of the mountain and you can enjoy a 17 mi. downhill ride. Or ride from Damascus to Abingdon, VA. You can also take your own bike and they'll help you get to and from. Other rental business are in Damascus too, so check for the deal that works for you!
