The Clock Tower of is a local landmark built in 1881. Originally of wood, the structure was rebuilt it bricks nine years later, in 1890.

The original opened in 1881 built entirely from timber. A decade later bricks replaced the high maintenance wooden monument. Throughout its long life, the tower served as a policy station and fire station. Today it's a tourist information centre with maps and leaflets on the city.
