Outside of the Museum giftshops - it is the least Tartan Shortbread of the Scottish Designers offerings. Quirky and original takes on popular culture. MUCH better that anywhere on the Edinburgh High Street. You can always visit the Royal Yacht Britannia while you are down in Leith

Souvenir hunters should avoid tacky city tourist shops and check this place out. It showcases the best of contemporary Scottish design, including local artists, and prices are very reasonable.

A wonderful concept. You buy from a superb selection of Scottish artists and crafts-people and all the money goes to the artist. A brilliant and affordable way to take home something special from Scotland and support the alternative economy
