In 1751, James Hallock built the structure that was what would become Mirabelle, the restaurant. In 1835, Jonas Smith bought it for his own use. It wasn't until the 1930s when Jennie Melville began serving tea and sandwiches to visitors. Frank Melville had bought the property in 1929. This tea room would become the main restaurant at the Three Village Inn. The property was expanded to be a hotel and restaurant in 1939.
