Tips van locals
Located just outside of Boise, the headquarters for the international Peregrine Fund provides opportunities to view and learn-about rare and endangered raptor species.
We visited the Center with our grandkids. They were mesmerized (as were we older folks). It's a bit out of the way (go west on l-84 until you get to the Kuna area) but if you're heading west anyway, try to fit it in.
Idaho houses one of the largest bird of prey reserve in North America. The peregrine foundation raises awareness by bringing you face to face with birds from around the world.
Boise has the most diverse array of birds of prey that are recovering from injury or are no longer able to survive in the wild. You can go see and read about all of these regal raptors!
The World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise, Idaho, is the headquarters for The Peregrine Fund, an international non-profit organization founded in 1970 that conserves endangered raptors around the world

“Boating year round, swimming in summer. You can't beat the summer heat any better than going to this wonderful reservoir and Sandy Point where swimming and picnicking sites are located. Note: No dogs are allowed at Sandy Point.”
