This is the train station in Fairbanks. The train provides daily service between Fairbanks and Anchorage. The scenery is great and they have a dining car, but be prepared. The average speed of the train is about 30MPH so it is a 12 hour ride to Anchorage. The train also stops at Denali park (about a 4 hour train ride) where you can take bus tours and stay overnight in a cabin or hotel. If you arrive in Fairbanks by train you should plan on taking a cab to the airport to pick up a rental car so you can get around.
