Just minutes from the remarkable 5000-acre Schoodic side of Acadia National Park. Wake up to the chug chug of the working lobster boats! Paddle our kayaks, bike, hike, swim, paint, read, birdwatch, and relax by the firepit while the kids make s'mores. Have lunch at the Corea Wharf and catch a ferry over to Mount Desert Island and Bar Harbor!

The Cottage

A rustic cottage in the middle of Darthia Farm. The farm sits along the shore of West Bay and a short walking trail brings you from the cottage to the salt water. We grow organic mixed vegetables, herbs and flowers, raise sheep, ducks, chickens, pigs, and work with Haflinger horses. We have a farm store that is open everyday except Tuesdays and Sundays. The property is 15 minutes away from the Schoodic Section of Acadia and is surronded is by countless hiking trails and access to fresh water.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Off the beaten path and accessible by car two hours before and two hours after low tide. Beach combing and birdwatching. Kids will love catching crabs and skipping rocks. The serene atmosphere is unmatched and the stars at night are worth the trip. It’s an adventure in relaxation. Take time to slow down and escape the hustle and bustle. No traffic noise, just wind, waves, birds, and serenity.
