Little Crooked House by the Lake

This is a quirky old house without a single straight door, wall or window but its light, bright and comfortable with a great view of Crystal Lake in an area becoming celebrated for artisan produced foods, craft breweries and a "back to nature" approach to life. Quaint cedar shake cottage perfect for a couples getaway. Bright open floor plan, comfortable and tastefully furnished. Gas fired stove in living room provides warmth and ambiance while the queen size bed is incredibly comfortable. Great galley kitchen fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your favorite meal or if you're not in the mood to cook there's four restaurants within walking distance. Jay Peak is only 8 miles from door to door. Easy parking. Discount ski tickets available.

Pristine Lake Location in Vermont

Our cottage is located on Lake Memphremagog, an international lake shared with Canada. Visit our nearby hobby farm/children’s museum. Kayak, bike or hike to stunning natural settings or take day trips to a variety of interesting destinations, including maple sugar shops, alpaca or dairy farms, golf courses, a ski resort with indoor waterpark; or cross the Canadian border a few miles away and explore Quebec. A boat dock is available for use at our cottage with an access ramp a 1/4 mile away.

"The Stuga" a quaint cottage with expansive views of Vermont's mountains and fields. A ten minute walk to Caspian Lake and the famous Willey's General Store. Enjoy hiking the Nature Conservancy's Barr Hill Preserve across the street and visiting Hill Farmstead's Award winning Brewery around the corner. Cross country ski both Highland Lodge and Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Other local destinations include Sterling College, Highland Center for the Arts, Circus Smirkus and Greensboro Country Club.

Peaceful Place to Enjoy Your Stay in the NEK

Minutes away from Burke and just a hop off of I-91, this is your start and end to a great day in the NEK. There is a large bedroom and bathroom downstairs with three smaller bedrooms and a small half bath upstairs. There is ample parking and a fenced in yard if you want to bring your dog. There is a stream and hiking trail out back with an active sugar house with tours available upon request. Plenty of wood and a fire pit outside. Starlink internet to upload your adventures at blazing speed!

Delightful cottage steps from Lake Memphremagog

Cheerful cottage with access to Lake Memphremagog past main house. Large deck on lakefront shared with owner, as well as canoe and double kayak. Clean, sandy-bottomed lake is great for kids and shallow many feet from shore. Nature walks out front door, plus access to bicycle and mountain bike trails. Great fishing with easy motor boat input nearby. Half hour from Jay Peak's summer activities. Reliable WiFi. Cottage has loft with king bed. Living area has futon which converts to double bed.

Dating back to the mid 1800s it was one of the first schoolhouses in the area, today it is filled with all the modern luxuries one would need. Our quaint porch is perfect for bird watching or leaf peeping. The inside includes high ceilings, a bedroom and a cozy loft- both with queen beds.
