A completely renovated light, modern, airy, private studio space equipped with everything to make your stay perfect. The space is tastefully decorated with brand new furnishings. Hanging clothes rack and specific suitcase/bag space included. Private, covered outdoor deck with lounge chairs and bbq for you to enjoy the beautiful Coromandel evenings on. Great places for safe swimming & watersports. 15 min drive to Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove & Hahei. There are 4 cabins. Freezer, washing machine, bbq, 4 Kayaks & 2 bikes for use. Larger groups up to 15 welcome by arrangement. Sheets/towels can be hired. Toilet/shower are accessed from outside. Suits hardy travellers in winter- please view photos.

Located at the Purangi river end of beautiful Cooks Beach our refurbished unit is ideally located for rest and relaxation. Or if you prefer a more active break we provide a double kayak, (including life jackets) and paddle boards, and can suggest beautiful areas for walking. The property backs onto a reserve with space for parking so please enquire if you would like to bring your boat. Safe swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding are within view and only a 2 minute walk away.

You have full privacy and access to your own unit and bathroom, as well as a full private deck/balcony just for your use. We provide coffee, tea, milk, cookies, cereal for guests and a mini-fridge for your use. Please note there is no access to kitchen facilities (but we have fabulous local restaurants we can recommend!).

The Lookout

The Lookout is a stand alone guest cabin located on an elevated private 10 acre property just 5 minutes drive to Cooks Beach. Situated next to regenerating bush, it offers views through to Mercury Bay Winery, the Purangi Estuary & beyond to Mercury Bay itself. Entirely self contained, The Lookout is lined with warm natural timbers and has a comfortable queen size bed. It also has a private deck area perfect for morning coffees, BBQs, stargazing and bird watching.

Our place is close to the beach but away from the crowds so if you want peace and quiet with great views, this is the place for you. It is good for couples, friends, solo adventurers and people with pets (1 dog only). It is an easy 15 min walk to the shops and 20 mins to the beach. Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach and Whitianga are all within easy reach.
