Enjoy a cup of coffee on the screened in porch while listening to loons watching hummingbirds and fireflies. And breathe!

Beautiful Lake Home in South Eastern Ontario

Our house is a wonderful place to enjoy being on a lake. You will be staying in our home where we live with our cat when we do not have airbnb guests. When we have guests, we live in a tiny house in the backyard and are available if needed. There is no landline but cell phone service is good. Internet is sometimes slow. It is not a good fit for large groups who are noisy or families with very energetic children because we have close neighbours who enjoy peace and quiet.

Nestled in the trees is a very rare and secluded year round log home on the shores of the Rideau River. This convenient location is only a 10 minute drive to the main part of Kemptville and 30 minutes from Ottawa. Winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing trails, cross country skiing, and ice fishing. Summer activities include boating, swimming, hiking trails, canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, horseback riding, and ATV trails at your doorstep.

This is a beautifully renovated house. River access for kayaking, canoeing, swimming. kayaks and life jackets are available for guests. There is a large back yard with a firepit facing the water as well as a back porch/deck and a large side/front deck to enjoy watching the water and wildlife. The area is quiet and peaceful but yet directly located in the town of Potsdam. There are window AC units in each bedroom as well as central heat.
