Nestled in the hills 5 minutes outside Kendal, the hut sits in its own private meadow, enjoying far reaching views of the fells. Choose to hunker down in the hut with a book, play board games and unplug from the rest of the world or use it as a base to explore Kendal and the beautiful Lake District National Park. Directly from the door you can enjoy some of the best walks the Lake District has to offer. Staveley is a gateway to other towns and villages such as Kendal and Windermere via bus or train. Please note we allow a maximum of 4 guests including infants we only allow 1 small/medium dog per booking. (Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture)

Ashes Cottage is a beautiful, bright, 17th century farm cottage with picture postcard views from every window. It is cosy, warm and full of modern amenities such as underfloor heating and a log burning stove. From the front door there are footpaths to Staveley village with its selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Only 15 minutes drive to Lake Windermere - it's a fantastic base to explore The Lake District. Afternoons on the patio watching the sheep are highly recommended!

Fellfoot Cottage in the Lake District

Fellfoot Cottage is a 19th century bobbin mill workers cottage in Staveley at the mouth of the Kentmere Valley, surrounded by stunning scenery. On the ground floor there is a cosy living room with a log burning fire, original floorboards and a window seat, leading through to a dining kitchen with a further log burning fire. To the rear is an outhouse and a detached rear garden. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with king sized beds and a family bathroom.

A cosy characterful converted barn with its own enclosed garden & views towards The Howgill fells and Kentmere valley. Please note that houses are currently being built 50 yards away from the perimeter of the property. The cottage is spacious with high ceilings and a stunning large master en-suite with balcony. The Dales Way goes through the yard & gives access to numerous walks from the door. Lake Windermere is only four miles.

Beautiful traditional slate stone cottage located on the outskirts of the bustling little village of Staveley, nestled between Kendal and Windermere. It is just a short 5 minute walk into the heart of Staveley where the picturesque River Kent is joined by its tributary the Gowan. The footpaths along the rivers are wonderful, and in good weather there is great paddling for children!
