Our favourite service is the Evensong (No admission), normally sung by the angelic Minster Choir, at 5.15 pm (4 pm on Sundays) Great opportunity to visit the cathedral.

The closest unrestricted free on street parking as far as we are aware, just by the race course. (Certain parts of Albemarle Road - the one before Knavesmire Road - is also great for parking, but can get busy during office hours, so I'd park there the evening or very early morning.)
