This is the kind of place that you will visit to charge your energy for the day before exploring the city. Very good breakfast/brunch. The menu is large and varied, from eggs to smoke meat... Great smoothies!

Reizigersadvies

Vervoersmogelijkheden

Public transportation takes you anywhere.

To use the métro and buses, you can buy a daily/weekend/weekly pass depending on the number of days you are staying, and you will be able to use the métro and all buses as many times as you need. It will also save you money instead of paying for each trip.
Manieren om te besparen

Museums are free on the first Sunday of the month.

Check on the website of the museums you are interested to visit since they will offer free admission on certain evenings or to kids/young people/seniors.
Wat je moet meenemen

Bring comfortable shoes.

Montreal is a walking city and as such, you will spend a big part of your day on your feet. Pack at least a pair of really comfortable shoes so you can enjoy your visit from start to finish.
Cultuur en gebruiken

Take off your shoes when visiting somebody's home.

No matter the season, Montrealers like to keep dirt/snow out of their houses. So, if during your stay in the city, you are invited to someone's home, please take off your shoes. You can always carry a pair of socks or ballerinas to wear instead, in case you are not used to be barefoot.

Don't be shy to speak.

If your English or French is not perfect, don't worry! Montreal is a multilingual city and as such, we all speak in a language that is hardly our mother tongue. People are friendly and will help you with what you need despite the language.
