Riverside pub & restaurant up river. Iconic pub which was the setting for the 1980's TV programme Howard's Way. A good walk away or a taxi ride one way perhaps.
I think it's necessary to book these days like most places. A good place for lunch as it's in the sunshine early in the day.

Hamble Common Beach
Blow away the cobwebs with a walk along the beach and watch the world go by.
Getting Around
Public transport is limited in Hamble but there is a train station and the odd bus does come here!
The Square station
Bus stop for regular buses into Southampton - every half an hour I think.
Things to do
There is always something going on, on Hamble River. Look out for Bursledon Regatta (now in Warsash) in August. Cowes week - first week of August. Why not hire a kayak or a stand-up paddleboard? Or if you're feeling flush .... charter a yacht with a skipper!
