L'Escamoteur is a Steam Punk cocktail bar, one of the best in Kyoto. The owner, Chris (Christophe) is a French magician from South of France, and very cautious of all the details in the preparations of his magic potions. It is not very big and usually crowded, and kids are not allowed. Prices are not cheap, a cocktail costs about 1500¥. Closed on Mondays, it opens until late. Chris knows Ben (Benoit) :)

The river Kamogawa is the main public park in Kyoto, from Shichijo avenue, on the East side, you can go down to the river banks, but it is after Gojo that it becomes more urbane and beautiful, the view to the North moutain is awesome.
