Sightseeing

Within the hills, caves and stones of Pella lies the story of mankind since they started to settle. Pella is in fact the most significant of Jordan’s historic sites. Ruins, artifacts and evidence clearly show that Pella has been continuously inhabited for nearly 9000 years if not longer. Settlements dating back to the Stone and Bronze ages with thick protective walls can be seen on top of the main Tel- Hill or by looking down 30 meters of excavations under Umayyad palaces, Byzantine churches and Roman temples. Baraka Destinations is your window into time with its customizable experiences that give you the opportunity to read pottery chards, walk though the stones and ruins, meet locals who have personally excavated the site with visiting Archeologists or simply enjoy a walk through the landscape with expert hiking and cycling guides. Beit Al Fannan It was then that Ammar Khammash visited and then built the rest house on the hill. It was a labor of love with the village building with its own hands the rest house for the tourists. After its completion he also built the house on the hill. To him the area was pure; a biblical African landscape still unmarred by modernity. An escape in time and space from the city, into serenity. In 2017 Baraka Destinations in collaboration with Ammar Khammash took over the house. It has undergone renovations to allow visitors not only to drive through Pella but also to stay and enjoy this unique site. Beit Al Fannan is a space that rewards the curious. Think of it as an experience, not an accommodation. The house tells a story, the more curious you are, the more you'll get out of the story. Everything in this house has been placed for you to explore.
