A great place for the kids to see the animals or play at one of the playgrounds. It is possible to bring your own food and drinks to the zoo or you can buy it at one of the food stations inside the zoo. If you are up for coffee and cake, we recommend to visit Penny Lane (close to the Safari stage).
We would also recommend you to try 'Klatreparken Aalborg' where do rope climbing in the trees next to the zoo.

It is a 20 minutes walk from our home to the city centre, but you can make a short cut passing through Kildeparken. Here you can stop and play with the Singing Trees.
You can catch a bus from Hobrovej to the centre, and going by car there are several parking houses and places to park. Remember - you have to pay at most parking lots.
Aalborg down town:
Go to the city centre and enjoy the area around the city or take a stroll by the harbor. You can take rest in Jomfru Ane Parken or use the play ground for the kids next to Restaurant Fusion.
Shopping:
There are a lot of nice shops in the city centre and the area around Danmarksgade. Wednesday and Saturday there is a Farmers Market at Frederikstorv, where you can enjoy local specialties. If you are looking for more traditional shopping, there is Friis Shopping Center downtown Aalborg or you can go to City Syd (2 K's south from our home).

If you are looking for street food, you should pay a visit at Aalborg Street Food. It's a great place to be close to the Limfjord and to enjoy tastefull street food.
