This is a more upscale restaurant serving Mediterranean food by two wonderful owners. They have a sweet patio outdoors as well.

Ok, by now you know I love a courtyard. This cafe has all the teas, coffees, etc. as well as food. It also boasts a beautiful plant-filled courtyard in the back.

This used to be a naval base and now it's bustling with wineries, brew-pubs, food trucks, and art fairs. There's a new ferry terminal with a beautiful landscaped promenade.

City/town information

This is an island town with a stretch of beach, jogging, and bike paths. There are many small neighborhood "stations" (where the train used to stop) with retail and dining options. Check out the Gold Coast for the large Victorian, Edwardian, and craftsman homes. Drive down Burbank Street with palm trees lining both sides of the street. (Photo op).

Walking is the Best Here!

You can get around the island in so many ways. It's small, so walking within a neighborhood is best. You can also bike, scooter or drive, of course.

Alameda Point Antique Faire

alamedapointantiquesfaire dot com People come from all over the bay area to this fair once a month to sift through both carefully curated furniture and clothing as well as records, trinkets, and plants. Pro-tip- get there EARLY or toward the end for better parking.
