Neighborhoods

One of Beirut’s richest areas in nightlife and restaurants. The street keeps up a traditional aspect when it comes to architecture, meeting halfway with modern cafes, pubs, and art exhibitions.

Also one of Beirut’s best places for nightlife and socializing, but taking a calmer and more mature vibe. The perfect area for a conversation over a drink, and a great place to meet people.

If you wanna go shopping, this is the street for you. Hamra hosts some lovely bars and restaurants as well, but is ultimately perfect for shopping.

If you wanna get a taste of local, this is the area for you. A huge market where you can find anything you can think of, from clothes, to food, to dollar shops, furniture, literally anything. And at the cheapest prices possible. Careful for the rip offs, try to have a local with you for the perfect experience :)

Vervoersmogelijkheden

Public transportation

Easiest and safest way to get around would be by Uber. Any type of public transportation would be not much less expensive and you’ll always be prone to paying more than you should. Due to the economic situation, public transportation prices are not very fixed as it should be. Uber is quite cheap,so don’t worry about paying a few extra liras :)
