Tipping
Tipping at restaurants is seen as a courteous gesture and is done for excellent service. Usually, it’s 10-15% of the bill. Tipping for concierges is expected in Italy, the same as it is in most countries, especially when they go above and beyond or make special reservations or plans for your group.

Cell Phones / SIM Cards / Data
If you want to use your cell phone when wifi isn’t available the you can pick up a local SIM card and a prepaid plan at the Tabacchi at 9 Piazza Kennedy in Spello. It is next door to Bar Brozzi. If you ask, the salesperson could even help you activate it. There is wifi available at Casa Spello and in many bars, cafes, and train stations all over Italy and there are several options for making calls and sending texts using only wifi (iMessage, FaceTime, Skype, What’s App, etc…).

Reservations are recommended- especially during the busy season. Alessandra can assist you with this if you’d like. Be sure to double check their hours, many restaurants will close on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
