Nice little pizza restaurant with a great beer, wine, and cocktail selection. It has an enormous and super-cute patio out back with large picnic tables. Great for a chill afternoon sipping Aperol spritzes or for a lively weekend night splitting a bottle of wine with some friends.

Beer Garden
This is a classic dive bar that is an DC institution. No frills but the space is chill and the beers are cold. Nice outdoor patio and seating section. It also has some wild DJ nights and dance parties on the weekends on the top floor.

Awesome Euro-style beer garden with a great outdoor patio section. Extensive beer selection and good pub-style food. Great place to watch a game or meet up with a group of friends for some beer tasting.

Cute little corner cafe right around the corner. It is family owned and the owner is very friendly and usually hanging out. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. Great place to grab an egg sandwich in the morning or grilled chicken sandwich for lunch. Pro tip: the place is small so they can get pretty busy very fast, call ahead and you can place an order for pickup.

DC has public pools available for free for residents throughout the summer. As a non-resident you are still able to use the pool for $4.00 entry fee. Great place to cool off and beat the DC summer heat. It has full locker room facilities and tables and loungers are available poolside.

2500 Georgia Ave NWDC has public pools available for free for residents throughout the summer. As a non-resident you are still able to use the pool for $4.00 entry fee. Great place to cool off and beat the DC summer heat. It has full locker room facilities and tables and loungers are available poolside.
This a little triangle of public park space sandwiched between the Park Place road and the Washington Hospital Center. It features a community garden and has benches scattered throughout. Cool little park to sit down for an afternoon and soak up some sun or read a good book.

One of my favorites spots to grab a drink. Hip basement bar with great cocktails. Food is excellent as well since it is the satellite bar for the Malaysian restaurant, Makan, located upstairs. They have shuffleboard and pool tables as well if you want to get in on some bar games.
