Not much in the way of waves, but great for wading and sunning. Super chill beach on the Sakonnet river. The bay is popular for windsurfers and kiteboarders because the cove across from the beach is one of the windiest spots in Rhode Island.

I could go here every day, it’s a nice walk from the house, or a quick bike ride. I love the vistas.

One of our favorite spots in Little Compton, it’s a town beach so you have to pay unless you bike or walk on. Great surf/paddle boarding/body surfing. Walk to the end of the beach, there will be very few sunbathers.

Love this view of the Atlantic Ocean from the mouth of the Sakonnet river. Low tide is our favorite. Great photo opp at sunset with the lighthouse in the background. Note: This is a private beach for Little Compton residents but unguarded at dusk and open to all in the off-season.

Go to this beach mostly for the view, you can have a picnic on the lawn or watch the sunset from the bench. The beach is a bit rocky so not necessarily good for sunbathing and certainly not for swimming. Though surfers love the break here.

It can be a little crowded on the weekends, but this is a lovely beach. Make sure you walk a bit left or right to get a little privacy

If you’re up for a drive to Newport, we’ve been going to this beach for years, and love it. Don’t miss Mission Burger which is minutes away if you decide to go to Newport.

We swim here in the morning and at high tide in the evening. It's also one of our favorite places to paddleboard besides our pond. For walking and sightseeing, walk to Lloyds beach and Sakonnet Point to watch the sunset. BYOB.
