Arashi Beach is a 2 minute drive from the condo. It's smaller and more quaint than the tourist area beaches, but has smooth sand & is excellent for swimming. There's a snackbar with cocktails and restrooms. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas there, or bring your own chairs and look for a vacant palapa for shade.

Boca Catalina Beach is just 2 minutes away. It's small and quiet, unlike the busy tourist area beaches, with Palapas for shade. An excellent beach for snorkeling or watching the sunset in the evenings.

Rated one of the best beaches in the world, in the low-rise section, it has smooth white sand, turquoise water, plenty of Palapa trees for shade, and chair rentals. Excellent for swimming and long walks along the stretch of beach. There are several bars and restaurants on the sand for lunch and cocktails. A little less crowded than the ever-popular Palm Beach.

A 5 minute drive, or if your an ambitious hiker, it's a great workout walking up the long, steep hill to the infamous California Lighthouse. Be sure to bring your camera for stunning views at the top. There's also the Faro Blanco restaurant for which advance reservations are highly recommended. Bring water if walking.

They are the sweetest, most gentle creatures, and the purpose of the sanctuary giving refuge to these precious animals just makes it all that much better. You can buy food there, or bring your own apples and carrots to feed them up close and personal. Best to wear closed-toe shoes. Be sure to leave a small donation for such an excellent cause.
