Completely abandoned since 1923, the Ghost town Kaya village is located in only 6 kilometres to Fethiye city center. It was once known as Levissi and originated from the 14th century.
Now Kayaköy Ghost town is an open-air museum with approximately 500 houses and three churches. The town is also considered as the symbol of friendship betweeen the Greeks and Turkish people.
