The Pink Lakes appear pink under certain conditions, and are best in winter and in spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. The wildlife and birdlife is abundant around the lakes. Underbool is proud of its history and pioneers this is displayed in the grassed area along the highway. Lots of nice views, walk trails and picnic area.

The lake is 2.2km in perimeter. There is a designated swimming area, pontoon and a boat ramp. There are walking and bike riding trails. Plenty of places for a picnic.

Patchewollock is a very small town in the north-west region of Victoria, a 30 minute drive from Ouyen. It also marks the beginning of the 'Silo Art Trail' from its northern end. The GrainCorp Silos at Patchewollock were the fourth set of silos to join the Australian Silo Art Trail Collection and the second to be painted in the Wimmera-Mallee region of Victoria. This twin silos were built in 1939 and was transformed in late 2016.
