The Mercado Central de Valencia has always been known for the quality, variety and freshness of its products. Nowadays, it is an important place for the sale of fresh products and a major cultural and tourist attraction not only for foreign visitors but also for the people of Valencia. It brings together almost 400 small traders. It is the largest centre of its kind in Europe specialising in fresh products and the first market in the world to rise to the challenge of computerising sales and offering home delivery, services which have been available since 1996. El Mercado Central de Valencia ha sido conocido siempre por la calidad, variedad y frescura de sus productos. Actualmente, es un importante lugar para la venta de productos frescos y una gran atracción cultural no sólo para los turistas sino también para los valencianos. Agrupa a casi 300 pequeños comerciantes. Es el mayor centro de Europa dedicado a la especialidad de productos frescos; y el primer mercado del mundo que afrontó el reto de la informatización de las ventas y distribución a domicilio, desde 1966.
