Jake's Supper Club has been a favorite of the locals for many years. There's a separate dining room for those wanting a more formal setting or take a seat at the large circular bar. There are also high tops and booths in the bar to get a bit more comfy and watch some sports. There's also some slot machines in case you're feeling lucky! There are set daily specials which you can see in the photos I added. My favorite is the Prime Rib. In the summer, there is a large outdoor Tiki Bar which has a beautiful view of the river. Casual attire is fine. Go and enjoy! ***CLOSED TUESDAYS

Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area is a 707-acre unit of the Wisconsin state park system near Menomonie. A network of trails provides access to wooded hills, prairie, and wetlands. There are three picnic areas and a 60-foot observation tower.

Some of the nicest people that work there and fantastic service. My go-to is the Marion's Blend hot or iced. A true gem that brings the community of Menomonie together.

One of the best things about Menomonie in the summer time is hanging out at the Bottoms! It is the a gorgeous beach that stretches down the side of the Red Cedar River for about a mile. Grab some friends, a cooler, and a volleyball for a day full of Wisconsin beach fun. The Bottoms is located down by the Dunn State Public Hunting grounds, and its a little bit hard to find if you don’t know where you’re going. You can hop on a bike and pedal 15 miles down the Red Cedar Trail and you’ll run right into it, or you can type 524th St/Dunnville Rd into Google maps for a pretty decent set of directions. When you turn left at 524th St. (which is a sand/gravel road right next to the Red Cedar Trail), you’ll take it all the way down until it hits a dead end. From there, follow the path from the parking lot to the beach. Recently, some friends and I headed down there for a whole day of Wisconsin summer goodness.
