Mali Lošinj is full of cafe bars and bars, and most of them have great service and/or view, but these are the few we prefer and haunt.

Excellent and wide selection of coffee and tea, and we prefer to drink our first cup of the day there, with a delicious croissant for breakfast.

We are recommending here just a few of those our family always go to, with a great ambience, service, and food.
You will notice most of them are very, very near to the house :)

A bit on the pricey side, but with an unforgettable view!
The food is served to you on a terrace with a truly unobstructed view of the open sea, Susak Island, and the setting sun.
Best to reserve a table in the evening, timing it to the sunset.
You cannot reach it by car but have to park at Sunčana uvala parking (paid) and go there by foot - from there it is a lovely 10-minute stroll along the sea shore and under the pine trees.

You cannot reach it by car but have to park at Sunčana uvala parking (paid) and go there by foot - from there it is a lovely 10-minute stroll along the sea shore and under the pine trees.
An old favorite of our family for its blessed shade all day long and when you just don't feel like cooking; a minute away from the house. Affordable prices with daily menus at 10 €.

As it is located in a small village of Loznati, near the town of Cres, it will take you about 40 minutes to drive there, but it's definitely worth it.
Also try the local Cres desserts "olito" and "grašnjak"!

Truly the best lamb ever in a relaxed ambience of a local tavern!
As it is located in a small village of Loznati, near the town of Cres, it will take you about 40 minutes to drive there, but it's definitely worth it.
Also try the local Cres desserts "olito" and "grašnjak"!
Favorite beaches
You can practically find a spot to bask in the sun and swim everywhere - just follow the walking trails that border the entire town. This is especially a good tip if you are looking for privacy - there will always be a place somewhere you can relax without others, if you snag it early enough - try walking the trails from Male Valdarke to Sveti Martin, Čikat Bay to Veli Žal, from Valdarke to Veli Lošinj, from Velopin Street to Čikat Forest Park.
The closest beach to our house, at a 5 min walk. A local favorite, it has a small pebble beach with both shade and spots for basking in the sun at any time of day.
Vele Valdarke is actually a cove along which extends a trail you can take to reach Veli Lošinj by walk (about 45 mins).
You can either choose the pebble beach and mingle with others, as there is always shade there, and also a kiosk, changing cabin, and toilets, or you can try to find a spot on rocks or the small piers that extend along both sides of the cove.
We also like the pier at the end of the cove, when you start walking towards Veli Lošinj, before Vele Škure - it's larger, has a changing cabin, and has shade in the morning, but is sunny the whole afternoon and the evening. The sun lasts the longest on that pier.
Valdarke Beach
The closest beach to our house, at a 5 min walk. A local favorite, it has a small pebble beach with both shade and spots for basking in the sun at any time of day.

You can enter the sea easily from the small pier next to the small lighthouse.
There are also quite a few more "private" spots on the rocks along the walking path you will take to reach the restaurant and near the chapel. If you get there early enough you can enjoy "your rock" alone, as others would not want to linger on the less comfortable spots near you.
