Great for pasta and pizza. Their phone is busy on weekends so you probably won’t get through. Just show up and place an order. Shop at Vons while you wait.

Neighborhoods

Fox Farm is our favorite neighborhood in Big Bear. Lower rental rates than Moonridge, but just as nice and about a mile to both mountain resorts. Still have back-road access to resorts and stores, so no traffic problems common with other neighborhoods.

Where to stay (and avoid)

If you plan to visit Bear Mountain or Snow Summit, don’t stay in Sugarloaf or Boulder Bay. Traffic can be awful coming from the East or West ends of the lake. There are plenty of great options in Moonridge and Fox Farm that provide back-road access to the resorts.
