Wye River is 5km away. You can walk there and back along the beach at low tide (check the tide calendar on the fridge). There is also a new inland trail if the tide is up. Start at the step north of KR bridge. You will have to cross a few rocky patches and will need at least 2.5 hours for the return trip. If you can drop the car off beforehand, it's nice to go there for a coffee, lunch or a beer at Wye pub and drive back.

A spectacular new 5 km walk has just been constructed between Separation Creek and Jamieson River. It follows an old access path above the Great Ocean Road, past the Wye Road and the Godfrey wreck, with sea views all the way to Jamieson River.
