These two octagonal, stone-lined, fresh spring-fed bathhouses , erected in the 1800’s, were built over the year-round 98-degree natural pools in the aptly named Warm Springs, Virginia. Thomas Jefferson visited these mineral-rich waters for their healing properties. There are two bathhouses, gender specific, large holes in the roof to release steam. Using tax credits and a transient occupancy tax specifically created for the Omni Homestead, with funds returning back to the Omni for capital repairs.
